A stylish wedding in a historic cloister on the Amalfi Coast
Stephanie and Antoine met back in 2009; ten summers later, Antoine decided to propose to her on a beautiful and perfect evening. The decision of where to get married, fortunately, had already been chosen two years earlier, when the two went to Amalfi for a vacation and were enraptured by the breathtaking beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
And so, on September 2 2021, in the picturesque town of Amalfi, with cliffs overlooking the sea, Antoine and Stephanie decide to get married in front of their 40 guests. We are at the NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento in Amalfi; everything is perfectly organized by Italian Wedding Planners by Sposiamovi, a perfect ceremony inside a 13th-century cloister.
Before the ceremony, as is tradition, the two changed along with their groomsmen and bridesmaids; Antoine, along with his friends wearing matching custom robes, left the room dressed, of course, in Ralph Lauren Purple Label-he is the brand's global image director, after all. Stephanie, with a room overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, changes along with her bridesmaids; she thus arrives at the first look in a beautiful long-sleeved Berta gown with a V-neckline and bare back, and shoes by Amina Muaddi. Antoine's emotion is so great that he starts crying even though he had promised not to.
After a boat ride, the couple at the ceremony in the cloister: among the characteristic arches of the place, three large golden frames with white flowers graced the altar, and others along the aisle. The groomsmen were all dressed in black smocking, while the bridesmaids wore tulle dresses of different styles, in different shades of pink, in a beautiful romantic look.
While the bride and groom posed for some portraits, guests headed to the evening's aperitif, where they listened to a live jazz duo and sipped on typical Italian Palomas.
For the reception, the organizers opted to change from the white of the ceremony to a variation of pink, remaining consistent with the modern, romantic style of the entire event. Before the cutting of the cake, Antoine found the perfect moment to change his smocking jacket to a white evening jacket, also by Ralph Lauren, while Stephanie changed her dress to something more suitable for dancing, by Mac Duggal Couture. So the party continued with the bride and groom's first dance, surrounded by fireworks.
