As Federica Casagrande from Punto di Fuga replied me back about this wedding at Villa di Maiano, I immediately used to meet the bride's requests that matched perfectly with my photographic style. Joanne was in fact in love with the idea of elegant and sophisticated family photos that I deeply love to shoot.
We then set up the red room of Villa di Maiano for this shoot with the bridesmaids and the families of the couple. As this beautiful room had not been used for the reception I recreated a particular setting using a white staircase to have the opportunity to play with spaces and color contrast between red and white.
White was the guiding color for the entire event, from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the setting of tables and the ceremony itself, which was celebrated in the Italian garden of Villa di Maiano. I therefore wanted to continue with this mood and to remain faithful to the shots using a simple but elegant graphic.
The drama and contrast that I brought back in the picture is a choice dictated by the warm light of the end of August, which besides all it’s a very strong characteristic in my style.
CJ and Joanne were fantastic, they loved being photographed and having fun with me, they were available and natural; also guests were entertaining and helped on making the day very enjoyable.
During the ceremony, emotions took over, giving my work an important added value, the wedding couldn’t have ended better, with wild dances and with wonderful fireworks that lightened the fantastic view of Fiesole over Florence. Thanks to Floricolor Albums
